Although you highlighted the common factor, you didn't elaborate. For those of you who didn't get it, each of the words in the sequence contains a pronoun. OHHH!, sorry, I didn't see your prior post. You are correct. It began as a custom in medievel times, and by "mixing" a portion of the contents of the glasses, one was assured the drink was not poisoned. Later it evolved to just a "clink" and mixing was no longer necessary.
