I-10 and I-40 are the only two interstates that run East/West THRU Texas.

I-20 does not run thru, it starts in Kent Texas at I-10, and I-30 only runs East from Ft. Worth

Well let's see. If I remember right we celebrated the Wright Brother's 100th anniversary of flight this year. So my guess is it happened sometime after 1904:D

Let's say it takes the Government at least 10 years to figure out that they can fly some mail.

How about 1914? And I am gonna guess the stamp was expensive as well.

The only French name that comes to mind and is the name of a city is Lafyette Louisiana.

You are so right. The dude's name is Marquis de Lafayette! That was a couple centuries ago when the french would still fight a little bit. Course, one man doesn't make much of an army. His help was a lot in getting the French gov. to turn loose of some guns and maybe some other guys to fight.

Well to be honest I had no idea what the first name might be or who Lafyette is named after. For all I know Lafyette was named after some Pirate. LOL:D
