Graham did great.. These young men will never forget this experience. . Also this will help th greatly as the real stuff comes along later this year.. My absolute favorite games i ever played was the game before this one, Glen Rose and the one after this one in stephenville against Gainsville.
Spring town was a bad game for us, but i absolutely love that we came back and won and went nuts while doing it.

Eppler is awesome. Watched them vs Princeton Friday and he was a surgeon. Doesn't seem to make mistakes.

I dont see two D1 Lbs behind them, just 1 but the other is still pretty solid. (im guessing your talking about #34 and #30?) they should be able to make up for the 2 DEs until they get used to the speed difference from Jv to Varsity. A few players i see D1 potential in is #17 and #79..

I REALLY like Decatur.. they are in our district and they played us and Ville VERY tough last season.. taking both teams to o.t... I have talked to a few guys from AW including Slingshot.. They seem to think that this is a down year for them.. But we will never count them out.. classy team all the way around.. Ville lost A LOT.. kinda hope last yrs Freshmen QB has a chance to play in this "rebuilding" year.. he is a stud.. They tell me Brownwood might get that district... 2 a days start next monday...thank god..

I could not agree more! Kid has the talent! Watched film on him from last year and the year before and seems like he really never lets the play develop most of the time, he would always start running around with no pressure at all. If he settles down and lets the play develop and throws a strike like we all know he can, his numbers should be way better than last year with fewer turnovers.

There's no reason to think anything else than Graham will field a great group of athletic football players again this season. I'm very impressed with the Graham Steer program and the direction it is headed. Everything I've seen and/or read about the Steers is very positive, and the program itself seems to be on the upswing....if that is possible. I guess that Graham has had its down years in the past, but it just seems like now they are ready to take on the very best every season. Good luck to the Steers and Steernation this season. I like the way your team and your town breathes football.

Not trying to be a downer, the kid has good instincts and a nose for the football. With that said I have yet to see a hit that made me think "that had to hurt". You do know he played the entire year with a very bad surgery needing shoulder..right. hurt in the first game of the yr. guts grit and fight...that's a lb personified

We all knew that.... he did it to graduate early and start the spring semester at TCU that's no secret ...I have talked to several of his teammates none of them hold a grudge ... most of them are proud of him and most do not have anything bad to say about him.. he was given the opportunity to heal himself and better himself what is wrong with that

not after just one week... It is VERY hard to make varsity as a freshmen here..Dooley did it last year.. there has been some call ups after several weeks.. but before Dooley the last one was Case McCoy.. as day 1 Freshmen on the Varsity..... D. Sides played on Varsity after week 4 I think..

Congratulation to the Lady Blues... Who just took 2nd place in the Boomtown Volleyball Tournament in Burkburnett... Losing in the championship game to 5A Wichita Falls Rider...25/22 and 25/21 ... Gonna be a great year for these young ladies..

In the real time quarter at last nights game was a clear win for Graham... The D shut them down and the O moved the ball with relative ease.. The running back #2 rattled off 4 5 & 6 yards runs at a time.. Not bad for being out almost a full year.. and mad props to #99 lil bear.. He was really impressive.. swarming the ball during his plays.. Our starting linebackers are our real strength on D...30 34 & 17.... forget about it.. awesome guys..

I may be a little biased but here is an unbiased opinion of tonight scrimmage.

Grahams receivers (#5 and #6) left Turner hanging on several deep routes that turned into interceptions, the receivers literally stopped running and put no fight for the ball at times.

Grahams best play of the night was the QB scramble. The OL (particularly the left side) had trouble blocking all night. One time Turner took a blind shot to the back that jarred my teeth from the stands.

#41 is their best back, but what he lacks in the speed dept he makes up with his vision.

Graham struggled to stop Iowa Parks run game for the majority of the scrimmage with a few IP drives stalling out due to self inflicted turnovers.

I don't know the kids real # but the CB wearing #10 played pretty dang good in run D, and Cottengame is the real deal.

In the live quarter(s) play IP and Graham were both 0-0 after the first quarter, and Graham finally woke up some in the 2nd live quarter and finished up the half leading 19-0.

I believe there was a kid with the last name Gilmore who looked good carrying the rock with the 2nd team, but he did drop a screen pass (as did the other backs). I wouldn't be surprised to see this kid move up the depth charts as the season continues.

Graham was the better team tonight, but they did not look like the #4 team in the state, they are just not physical enough at this point in the season.

Agree with most except the D dominated.. kept IP to three n out for all but 2 drives in timed play..only on the first set of 20 did ip have any kind of success..it that was about 45 yards gained in 20 plays...The D is ready..for sure.. IP is gonna be a good d2 team this year..
