Nice video.....but I noticed No One in the visitor stands....usually that means you are playing teams that are NOT in the same league or are having a bad year. That may sound bad, but when you play a team that is 1 - 6 their fans tend to stay at home. He's so fast that he can cut a guy then get up, run out in front of the ball carrier and then cut someone else........he just doesn't use this tactic often because usually the ball carrier doesn't need it. :D :D :D

We had an issue with recovering on-side kicks, but I'm sure that has been fixed. We tend to pooch kick. How 'bout yall? Do yall kick it deep on kick offs?

WC has a good special teams unit. They returned kick for td's and I believe WC has kicked 2 40+ yard field goes. Kickoffs are pretty good also.

I came down to the dub one friday night and saw #7 kick a 42-43 yard FG with about 10-15 yards to spare..that kids an athlete! Football, baseball, water polo, hockey, ping pong, you name it he's probably good at it..I saw a show on tv the other day about chess..looks like he's number one in the world in chess as well..like I said, this kid is good at everything;)

Wc special teams is beneficial rather than a downfall. I've seen 40+ fgs, line drive punts, kickoffs outta the endzone and at least 4 special teams plays directly resulting in tds. Wc has the top 4 return men in our district based on yards per return.:eek:

Sinton has the home field advantage but that is diminished because several of our cheerleaders will be in San Antonio for the regional volleyball tournament. It fact it may be even more diminished because one of them is our senior head cheerleader and the only one that can do flips. That increases the risk.

I agreee completely. It was also great to meet the West Columbia posters too. A great game by two great teams. It is a shame we couldn't have met a little later in the playoffs.

Great game by the roughnecks. Good, solid, clean smashmouth football by both teams. We were totally outcoached in the first quarter. Watching the offensive coordinator take 20 seconds to get the play selected made the whole game harder on our offense. If we dont spot yall 14 pts maybe a different outcome. I gotta hand it to yall, #9 is one speedy dude. You werent lying. I only have one complaint about west columbia. When Sinton's defender was crouched over after a play with about 90 seconds left, a chorus of boos came from you guys. Totally classless. Especially considering the one injured was our #2, who is a great young man who wouldnt try to fake an inj

I was impressed with the way both teams handled themselves considering how intense the game was. Both teams would knock the snot out of each other then help each other up. I think the only penalties were one or 2 false starts, a couple of offsides and an illegal shift

Still can't believe that our season is over, but I'm glad we lost to a quality team and left it all on the field. Our game tonight rnaks up there with the "01 game vs. Bellvillle..

Our kids played hard until the last tick and that's all you can ask. In every game there are 2-3 plays that you'll always go back to and say "what if" and ours is that blocked punt and the stop WC gets before the half.

WC has a great team and I knew they did coming in. I knew we'd have to play a perfect game and we didn't. WC did and they won. Kudos to those kids & their coaches.

Every single one of those boys/coaches knew they had played a worthy opponent. No disrespect to anyone else, but that WAS the region final.

One of the best HS football games I have ever been involved in. Like two boxers just slugging each other, round after round after round.

Sinton fans, you guys have one hell of a team and some really fantastic kids. I spoke to #20 at the end and he still could manage a smile after all he had been through.

If anyone needs some kids with heart and grit and determination, just go to Sinton and you'll find more than you can count.

When the pit was on the Sinton side, they used to sell them right at the pit. Had a table set up with salsa, bell peppers, grilled onions and such. Now they sell them in the concessions, and don't offer the trimmings anymore. They are still excellent, but I prefer the peppers and onions.

Great game by two really good teams. Like several posters have said earlier, it's a shame that this had to be a bi-district game instead of a regional final. This is the best bi-district game that I've seen since the 2000 meeting between Sinton and Cuero up in Victoria. There was a great atmosphere at Pirate Stadium last night.

It's hard to dig yourself out of a 20-0 hole, but Sinton damn near pulled it out. The kids showed lots of heart last night by not hanging their heads and throwing in the towel after that long touchdown pass that got em down by 3 scores. West Columbia's quarterback is a stud....super quick. He gave Sinton's defense fits all night. I believe he was the difference maker in the ball game last night. It may have been discussed earlier in this thread but I'm too lazy to flip through 65+ pages to find it, is he a senior?

What a great game last night. Both teams battled to the bitter end. I was impressed by the toughness of both teams. Also thanks to all the Sinton faithful for the great atmosphire, yall have great tradition.

Im so sorry to hear that Sinton lost. To have such a great season come to a end like this. Sinton was the face for 3A here in the Coastal Bend. :( I wanna speak on the behalf of Robstown when I say that we appreciate the love and support you Sinton fans gave us on these boards. Really shocked you guys lost. Well time to get those players healed and focus on baseball. Spring training will be here soon.

That was the shocking part. I was getting updates and heard the score 20-0 and in my mind I was like "Sinton has to be up!" That wasnt the case I guess.

Every footbal fan cheers on their team. We all stand and yell during the game at good call, bad calls, plays for long yardage, and jaw jarring hits. I like the way the West Columbia fans cheered with a purpose. They were in unison(sp) at times. I wish the Sinton folks would do a little more of that. Maybe next year we can come up with some Cheer Signs to get every one together.

I finally made it back to The Woodlands. I feel like I have a hangover. Such a long night. You guys have already covered everything about the game, & I agree with the Columbia posters/coaches about the Sinton community. That was the best experience I've had at another towns field. Sinton = class. I'm looking forward to seeing some pics after the new rug is installed. It will make a cute stadium even better.
