We spent many of those years as a small 4a school in district with El Campo, Bay City, Friendswood, & even La Marque. It was very difficult to matchup with those guys year after year. I was better for us when we went 3a.

Yeah, it was 1981-82-83, and again in 1987 after Sinton dropped back to 3A.

I can tell you that I went over and watched Mathis Vs Rockport, and neither team were any better than Palacios. It looked like a Powder Puff game. I haven't looked up any scores, but did Sinton put up atleast 50 on Mathis? I would expect that!

Palacios actually beat someone? Why are we throwing out Goliads score? How bad did Sinton beat Mathis? All I'm saying is that the two teams I watched Friday night in Rockport couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper sack. If Sinton didn't throw up atleast 50 on two very weak teams, I don't know how they expect to compete this Friday.

did it ever occur to you that maybe goliad scored because we took out starters in the beginning of the 3rd...believe me when i say that 29 3a aint making it past the first round...compare stats and you will find out what 30 3a is about...clean sweep!!!

The stands were redone and expanded just this year. Sinton's gearing up to host some South Texas playoff games in the future. Putting in turf at the end of this season. I think yall will be okay.

Our new softball facilites were complete this year and they are fantastic. Our new baseball facilities will be complete soon and they will also be fantastic.

Ok, what about parking?
The west & south are all housing, don't think they would like us parking in their yards.
There is a small lot by the tennis courts, and what looks like a small salt mining operation just outside the west fence. Looks like theres also a lot about 2 blocks east at some business. Where else can we park?

There is a shopping center and library on the corner where you can park in front and on the west side of. The street on the south side of the stadium is long and you can park along there. Also, there is a vacant lot behind the bank about halfway down the street on the south side. It's closer to the softball field on the east end. You can park in front of the houses on the west end and any of the streets perpendicular to Pirate Drive as long as you don't block any driveways. We do that all the time. There is a fairly large lot at the Catholic Church about two blocks to the west on the highway. The lot between the field and the school will be full.

I know in the past if visitors had charter busses, they would usually reserve some spots in the home parking lot for them. We used to have a couple of portable bleachers too, don't know if we still have them, but if so, that's a possibility too.

You can't parallel park on the 4 lane highway, but any of the side streets should be okay. There are some businesses with smaller lots in the vicinity with access from the highway that should be okay to park in too. Worst part is the gate is on the home side at the west end.

Sinton was Up 49 - 6 on Goliad at the half. the second string played the entire 3rd and 4th qrts. Sinton is a ball control offense. Once they get a lead they grind it out and run the clock. The only game they have NOT done this in was the Mathis game. Due to some trick plays Sinton only touched the ball 12 or so times in the 2nd half against Mathis. Sinton was up 28 - 14 at the half in that game.

Parking should be fine. As mentioned above, you can park on all the side streets just don't park in a driveway. I kinda doubt the WC band will be on the track, but stranger things have happend. I went to a game once and the stands were so crowded we stood on the edge of the EndZone between the track and the field. This was NOT at Sinton.

Get there early and put your game faces on!!!!!!!!

Season ticket holders willl ONLY be able to purchase the seats they currently have on Tuesday.

Any additional seats can be purchased on Thursday at 8am.

I will say this...dont read a book by its cover...We made the mistake last year of underestimating the pirates. Those kids are good football players. This warning is from experience. Tell your kids they are in for a heck of a ballgame..dont let them assume anything else.

We were down in one game 21-0 before we realized that our QB was so fast he put on the other teams jersey. We didn't notice until he stopped to grab a handful of popcorn from a little kid behind the end zone after the third TD. After pleading our case, the officials gave us the 21 pts.

Nope, just the fact Sinton made it to the quarterfinals last year and WC hasn't done anything since 2006. Oh and the first round for many years usually consisted of valley teams, but this year it will consist of a team up North getting knocked out the first round.

you guys in district 29 have no clue what the uil put yall up against in the first round lol....we might not get a sweep but 2 out of 3 ain't bad, sintons are best chance then mathis has a good chance, i think my mustang team is very young only returning 2 on offense and 5 on defense starting a freshman QB will have a tough task. but ingleside is a team with their 7th consecutive playoff appearance and have been clicking on all cylinders as of late.
