Noticed La Grange got some love in the MaxPreps national poll at 36.

La Grange will need a pitcher to step up big time to win a State championship, at State you have to have a dominant pitcher because you cannot rely on hitting to win every game. La Grange also lost one of the best players to ever to ever play for the Leps, hard to replace those type of players. A pretty solid team however pitching wins championships at 3A and up.

LH played Hays yesterday and lost 3-0. 2 errors was the difference in the game. Played P'ville last night and IMO got somewhat embarrassed by a team they should have and could have easily beat. Score was 7-2. P'ville had a good pitcher, but she was not throwing at speeds that were unhittable, just good movement. LH will do fine through district, but we better figure it out if they want to have a post district run.

Looks like La Grange has found a young pitcher to step up and take control of a game, have not seen her pitch this year however was very dominate on JV as a freshman last season and had a very solid summer of Select ball. Pretty solid team but still needs time to really gell, a few new faces on the field this season.

I find it hard to believe not one team is ranked in the top 15 out of 3A Region II.

No excuses made for it but...you all have had some pretty bad weather and probably more than the southern and coastal areas of the state. Give it a few weeks.

also if I remember reading right earlier only teams who send info with team records will be considered for the poll. So make sure your team is sending that in.
