Gonzales is getting better and this is a rivalry game for them. The Bulldogs are loaded and will show up to play. I think the Yoakum D will hold the Apaches under 28 pts and win by a possession.

Pudlugger, your Freudian slip could turn into reality. LOL It is homecoming for Gonzales and the Apaches will be ready to play.

Now that funny. Give old Pud a break . Glad his Leps are doing good. Hard to believe LG going 0-10 last yr .
I look for a good game Friday against Gonzales . Always a tough battle when Bulldogs and Apaches go against each other. Yoakum tough schedule will really pay dividends later in season. Playing all 4 A team with 3 of 5 being 4A D1 is one of the toughest in 3 A.

I call this one a toss up, maybe an edge to Gonzo for homecoming/homefield.

Will add it to my games to watch this weekend on Fox Southwest Football Friday app.

The game has been moved to Thursday night in Gonzales. Trying to beat some bad weather that is being expected Friday night.

We came and took it Gontex. Nice 33-14 win by Yoakum. Controlled throughout really.

Now, another booger non-district opponent in Needville. Who played Calallen tough in there 61-41 defeat last night. Bo might of picked off more than he wanted with these Bluejays. Dern sure should be battled tested when the likes of Edna and Goliad come in district.

Heck.....it's starting to look like Yoakum is even better this season than last season and the year before.......as a total team......even without the Moore brothers. But guess what??? So is Goliad and Edna. What a district, Huh? That don't even count Hallettsville......a team that has plenty to play the spoiler role in that district.
Yesterdays are gone forever and tomorrows may never happen, but today you have the opportunity to make a difference.

3A D-1 District of Doom, for sure. Probably District of Doom in all of 3A this season.

Gonzales was playing without their most productive running back last night. Not making excuses, but I think the young man could have mad lots of difference in some of those running situations. Not to argue, Dawgs are a very impressive team. Big lineman and some little scatbacks that are difficult to tackle. I'll guarantee you there are some sore players on both sides of the line though because Gonzales threw some licks at them Dawg backs. Game turned on the blocked punt in the third quarter but that is part of the game. Difficult to overcome those defensive scores. Enjoyed the game. Good luck to you for the rest of the year. Apaches catch the Gobblers next week. Don't know if the turkeys will have all their players back. I know a couple of them did not play against you.

As bad as I hate to admit it, Pud was closer to the score than I would like to admit. Good luck Leps. Continue making up for last year.
