Ingleside is struggling with penalties pretty frequently in every one of their games. Unfortunately, you can't do that with no passing game in their heavy run offense. They really need to work on that. We will see what happens.
The fact that Ingleside only has about 5 running plays and no passing isn't helping. Pretty easy for the opposing defense to figure things out very early in the game.
Rio Hondo Bobcats out of D16 4a D2 south zone has cancel their fall sport season.
Raymondville and Port Isabel only teams in south zone. They only had a 2 game schedule this might just make it 1 game schedule a win and sure in the playoffs and lose and your done.
Raymondville has scheduled Mission Veterans for a non-district game.
I BELIEVE Port Isabel may be voting in the next day or two to start practicing sooner than the current 9/28 mandate set by the Cameron County judge. Not 100% on that but I've heard some rumors/rumbles that a possible vote for it may be coming up.
New COVID cases in the Port Isabel & South Padre Island area have been at 0 for almost a week. I believe the last new case was last Friday? There have, unfortunately, been some COVID related deaths in the PI/SPI area, some of which were PIISD employees, so I can understand PI's reluctance to start the season sooner rather than waiting for 9/28.
I will say, though, Rio Hondo cancelling their season took me by surprise.
