A playoff spot at stake?
If Columbus loses, Gonzales and Smithville will both be in the playoffs regardless of how the game comes out.
.
Once again gontex you are wrong as usual. Smithville got beat by Columbus last week which would mean if Smithville gets beat by you guys they would be tied with Columbus at 2-3. Giddings would be 5-0 and you guys would be 3-2 along with Caldwell at 3-2 if they beat LG. Columbus would beat Smithville in the head to head.
Gonzales is in win or lose because you guys beat Columbus and would win the head to head.
The question is, is Smithville's RB playing or not this week. If he is Smithville will make the playoffs, if he is not; Smithville is out of the playoffs.
GO BUFFS!
Gonzales 14-0 Smithville 2nd qtr.
Apaches 21-0 Smithville half.
Gonzales 42-6 Smithville 4th qtr.
Apaches 42-12 Smithville. Finish 6-4 on to playoffs. Go Apaches!
Apaches 42-12 final.
Where does that leave district standings?
Giddings. 4. 1
Caldwell. 3. 2
Gonzales. 3. 2
Columbus. 3. 2
Smithville. 2. 3
LaGrange. 0. 5

Glad I got it right. I really do try to keep my posts accurate. I noticed that all 104A2 teams are underdogs to 94A2 schools. Hope it doesn't play out like that. Mexia was picked last in their district and ended up 2nd. Apaches were picked 5th and ended up 3rd. Surprised the Cardinals beat the buffs, but I suspect Cardinals had a bit more motivation to play. Wasn't going to make any difference to Giddings if it won or lost. Good luck in your game this week.
