I haven't read anywhere about how many people were there. Do you know? I left town for the weekend but I assume between yalls game and the basketball tourney, there must have been a ton of people at the high school.

Don't know the actual head count but I promise you both teams travel well. Both sides were full.

You know, i'm not really sure. I thought that Argyle traveled a little better than i thought they would considering the distance, and Monahans had much less than i expected. 4,000 maybe. I do wish Argyle would build something similar to what you guys have. Nice place!

    Manvel 7

    Calallen 7

    End of the 1st quarter

Calallen blocked the punt attempt on 4th and 1. It bounced straight into the punter's hands and he picks up the first down on the last play of the quarter.

Manvel misses a 38-yard field goal.

Calallen takes over at it's own 21.

M-F 7-3 (sometimes later) 10 days of on call including every third weekend. We don't get called out much during the week and on the weekend if we come out it's just for 1-2 hours. Is she super nice?!! We have a great group here.

4,000 total? Surely not. Capacity is right at 8200.

Anyway, we are very thankful for our facilities and glad you enjoyed it. Congrats to Aygyle!

    Calallen 21

    Manvel 7

    3:32 left in half

Manvel is killing themselves with PF penalties. Mainly chop blocks with a couple late hits mixed in.

I heard the same thing from a real reliable source about the refs. I also agree with BLACKATTACK though, they sure did look like they were from Momnahas, not just west texas.

I drove over to the watch the game and it did look a little "fishy" the way the calls were going. A few of the late hit calls were because Argyle was "playing till the whistle blew", the problem there was they weren't blowing the whistle or calling the play dead until the flag was thrown. One of the "late hits" was where the Argyle player was trying to catch himself and landed on all fours, straddled the Monahans RB and the side judge (the one on the home side) couldn't get the flag out fast enough. It was pretty funny really. It looked like he had a little green parrot on his shoulder telling him," throw the flag, throw the flag". So he threw the flag. lol Then on the same side of the field, same side judge, one of the WR for Monahans was mugged by the Argyle DB and he acted like nothing happened.

Then there was the back judge, OMG, this guy throws a flag for 12 men on the field, he and the white hat do the counting (both of them counted the Argyle defense), the white hat waves off the flag, then just before the snap the 12th man on the Argyle defense runs off of the field. Are you kidding?? Then with Argyle in the "BULLS" formation (a full-house backfield) #3 gets the ball, fakes right, goes left and is actually walking into the EZ (because there is not a Monahans player within 5yds. of him). He is 1-2 yds. deep in the EZ and is lit up by a defender and no flag was thrown. I would love to hear the explanation for that no call.

IMO overall this was the worst called game I have ever seen for both sides and I live in Snyder where, well, you know. LOL
