Default District Race Overview and Playoff Projections after Week 9

The projected finishes are primarily based on who's beaten who so far head-to-head. In the case of districts where there are teams that don't have an obvious direct connection of wins and losses to rank them, I used the district power rating which is calculated using the same algorithm I used in my statewide 3A ratings the past 3 years

The number in parentheses is the power rating calculated solely on district games played. All power ratings combined for a district should add up to zero

The difference between power ratings for two teams can be extrapolated as a predicted margin of victory or loss based on prior district game results.

Chapel Hill needs to beat Gladewater by at least 7 pts to make the playoffs if Spring Hill beats Bullard (which they easily should). I have Chapel Hill as only a 6 pt favorite currently so I still have Gladewater as the 3rd playoff spot. The Gladewater vs Chapel Hill game will determine Gilmer going D1 or D2.

Here are the last WOS87 PLAYOFF PROJECTIONS for the year as we'll all know what they will be for sure next week

Feel free to disagree but I determined all of this solely on logic and numbers so there is little or none of my own personal opinion included in these. I will be happy to explain my reasoning if it is not clear why certain district projections ended up the way they did.

Week 9 overviews and projections are now completed. There are still 3 games I don't have results for yet (the Tornillo vs Clint game from Friday, and two games to be played today) and I'll add those numbers in when I get them. I doubt any of those games will make a huge impact on those respective districts though unless Sam Houston gets upset.

Great job WOS87. It will take a miracle for your District16 projection not to come true. It could, but it is not likely. Looking forward to round 2.
Every game is a BIG game.

    Nothing would change.

That would put Brookshire tied with Sweeny at 4-1 but Sweeny won the head-to-head

and would put Needville tied with Wharton at 3-2 with Needville winning the head-to-head

In District 3 the tie breacker is 14 points. Just as they used last year with the 3 way tie for 1st.

Don't know what they will do with the two 16 point games and one 14 point game.

This Friday will break one of the 3 ties or create a new one for 1st.

I'm predicting a 3-way tie AFTER next week... Not sure what they'll do if the max is 14 points and all 3 games are 14 game margins of victory or more.

I agree with WOS87's projections in District 31AAA. Ingleside plays Robstown and I think they will win a close run. Ironically in this game is that most likely the winner will go to the playoffs and the loser stays home. That is because I think there is no way that Mathis will lose to Falfurrias and Sinton should win over West Oso but that one will be a struggle. Thank goodness Sinton is at home that night.

Go Sinton Pirates and Lady Pirates! I also like old movies like "Dawn at Socorro." I also like the Tour de France. I like the Pelican West Band located at South Padre Island, Texas. Phil is PhiI is Bill is the compassion police. He is also the Sinton Matador. Some call him the Sinton Prophet. {Also Captain Obvious. } BEWARE OF THE HOWLING BEAR! He's going for the Corner - he's got it! Roy Orbison rules.
