Could any of the top 5 teams predicted in the dave campbell compete w/ a better than avg. 4a team? I don't remember any one of those teams except Commerce that has played a good 4a team lately. Commerce over MT.Pleasant in MP 16-9 in '97. What type of scheduling does the other schools have? 5a North Dallas doesn't count!!!

La Grange vs. Bay City the week of 9/1 will be good. Last year LG only lost that game 28-7 believe. Lamesa vs. Frenship. Newton vs. Beaumont Ozen. What about Sweetwater vs. Big Spring, or S'water vs. Snyder? Tough games for a 3A school. Doesn't Wylie also play those 2 in non-district as well? If I remember right, Wylie was within 2 or 3 points of Snyder I think, something like that. Don't some of them also play Andrews?

I just looked it up, and Monahans played all of those...Big Spring, Andrews, Snyder, and Seminole before the last realignment. Which accounted for their 0-4 start in 98 before going on to reach the semi-finals! What a schedule...

So that means that La Grange will play Bay City again this year. Maybe a new 1&2 in 3a after these 2 meet.(hum) Week nine Forney vs. Comemrce 1 vs.2. Watch out for Pottsboro!!

Oh I know, Commerce/Forney will be great. I gotta try and make that one. I wish I could see Sweeny vs. Rice Cons. this year. And Lamesa vs. Greenwood. Thank God for TSRN sports!!! lol

I know last year Everman played a couple of good 4A teams...FW Eastern Hills was 8-2 until they had to forefit their games..Everman lost to them 19-13 in OT Everman also played WF Rider who advanced 3 rounds deep and Everman beat them 26-7...other than that Everman had been 4A and had beaten the likes of Brownwood, Snyder, Brewer (used to be good), and Waxahachie..also took Wichita Falls to OT in Round 2 of the 4A playoffs in 99

abilene wylie plays Big spring, snyder and lake view and scrimmages brownwood. last year they beat big spring when big spring was ranked 9th in the state in 4a. they also tied b-wood 7 to 7 in game situation play of the scrimmage last year. they beat lake view bad, then beat snyder and big spring back to back.
