    Post Heat Deaths

The tragic events of the past weekend serve to remind all of us that we can't be too careful where our athletes are concerned.

The "good ol' days" are no more, and today's kids are different. The times of salt pills, no water, and "toughen up buttercup" have long since passed us by. Good or bad, things aren't like they used to be.

Let us all remember the families, staffs, and school administrations that have been stung by the sudden loss of one so precious to their respective communities.

Best in health for a great, safe season to all.
