    Default St Pius X @ West Columbia 9/5/08 7:30Pm

    Be there.

And be forewarned..... GB is going to try to punk us, so it doesn't matter.

From what I heard, St Pius is down this year.... IDK though.

    Any info?

St. Pius is not the same team they were last year because of the fact they won with many seniors. They also had very sucessful sub-varsity teams last year, so we will see if they can play on a varsity level. Expect a good team and a great game!

    Default St. Pius

St. Pius beat Houston Westbury this week 38-20. They gave up 392 total yards, and only managed 218 total yards. HOWEVER, they did force 4 turnovers that all resulted in points!

    St. Pius 41-27.
This boy is not the most athletic kid or strong kid. He is just tall and has a huge frame and heart. He wants his body to perform at a varsity level, but he can't make it do it. He knows he is not there yet and so do I. His words; "Dad I can start at some of those other schools, but at (random school), I will be the best I can be. I may never start on varsity, but I will know I gave it my best." Soon to be an after-school special.

Our D will not give up 41.....

Our D held a quick B'Port squad to 33 points even when we turned the ball over and penalized the crap outta ourselves....

I think if we clean it up this week, we have a legit shot to win.... but I'll be honest and say that St Pius probably wins.

But I HIGHLY doubt they get into the 40 point range.

    I'll revise then...

They shouldn't score 40. They only had 218 total yards last week.

They aren't great but they are pretty good. They had 400 yds of offense compared to 218 by St. Pius. Heard they had several interceptions and some fumbles.

you don't "hold" someone to 33 points, i don't care how many turnovers you have.

necks can't continue to throw 4 (could've been 6) picks a game and expect to win....maybe it was just a first game thing, i don't know...just my opinion.

Let's put it this way. As many times as we turned it over, it's impressive that B'Port only scored 33.

We also blew 2 TD's though if you remember.

A dropped TD pass and one thrown just a bit too high on 4th down.

At any rate, they had better clean it up this week if they even want a chance..... and I don't even want to think about El Campo in a few weeks.

If the WC secondary coach can stay away from Lucy's and teach his kids to keep the receivers in front of them...the Necks have a chance...
