    Question Celina

I am curious about the Celina team. I know they are knew to 3A, but do they play anybody that can actually beat them, or do they just play teams to get a "W" in the win column? (They do have a phenominal record)

Celina has three teams in District this year that will pose at least a challenge. Gainsville (maybe the best defense in 3A) Pottsborro (a team that pays no attention to polls or stats, just wins ballgames) and Pilot Point (the last team to hand Celina a loss in 1998) Look for Celina to do well in Class 3A but sooner or later the streak will end. If not this year, maybe at least before the millineum is thru. :-)

I agree PPHS Celina's streak will end this year, but I think they will add a few more before it happens.

I think some of you are forgetting Van Alstyne..............they went to the semi-finals or maybe the finals last year in division I 2A.............I think that they will also be a factor in the play-off picture in this district..........Gainsville should be the favorite to win the district, hands down......close to 900 enrollment..........we will have to play with more intensity than last week to keep the win streak alive at Celina.

I still think Celina, Pilot Point, and Gainsville are the top three. However, I would love to see Van Alstyne knock Gainsville out.

Im scared to put much stock in Gainesvile. They do less with more talent that just about any 3a team in the state.

Celina's streak will end this year, but not in the regular season. They will win their district and lose in the playoffs.

I hope so, but Im scared to put much stock in PP as well. Baca left one helluva mess, and I dont think that even GA Moore can clean it up in just one season.
