its so cute to watch the Rangers and their fans get all excited on opening day but not near as much fun to hear them in july at the all star break when they are all but mathematically eliminated from the post season.

I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

weird...two of the last three seasons, the team was actually in first place at the all-star break...that makes for some really fuzzy math...Originally posted by injuredinmelee

yeah...the last few seasons haven't been kind second halves to say the least...except for last year, when they actually didn't have a losing record in any month after May (but 9-20 that month killed the season).Originally posted by injuredinmelee

But they did have 80 wins in 2006 and 89 in 2004...so they've been better at times than people remember. But still overall, not serious contenders.
