D23 Baseball District Start Tonight

Smithville is at Bellville tonight. Bellville is 8 - 6 overall this year. They can't seem to get the bats going. I heard that Smithville has a pretty good pitcher. If he's on, things may be close. Bellville's pitching and defense has been solid, however, and kept them in most of the games they lost till the end.

Tallerine threw a 1 hit shutout. 13 K's
Bellville hit the ball well, but still left a lot of runners on. Good start for the Bulls.

Caldwell OF Jacob Vasquez has game winning RBI single in bottom of seventh to defeat the Leopards. Caldwell came back from a 9-3 deficit (after giving up 6 runs in the top of the 5th) with six runs of their. The Hornets banged out a season high 16 hits. Scott Ofczarzak throws 2.1 innings of solid relief to get the win.
