Yeah, he had like 22 at half. I don't know what he finished with though. The Rockets should be able to win several more in a row.

They should win the next 3 and then they have to play the Lakers and Boston.

Rockets have won their last 9 games by double digit margins. The NBA record is 10. During their 18 game winning streak, the Rockets have had at least 20 assists in every game. Tonight against NO, the Rockets finished with 27.

That statistic tells you exactly how well the Rockets are playing and that is what teams will have to do to beat the Rockets, make them create their own contested shots instead of layups from Scola/Landry and 3's from Battier and Co.

It's going to be very tough for ANY team to beat them at this point.

I can't wait until the Lakers game in Houston so JR can make up a great excuse for them.

All those past teams have something in common, they all ended up in the finals and all but Boston came away with rings.

But let's be realistic. Most of those wins came with Yao Ming. I'm not foolish enough to think that the Rockets would have this streak without him. Granted they are playing great, but I'm not overly optimistic about our playoff chances.

Very true, most of those past teams remained at full force throughout the playoffs. The 1969-70 NY knicks did have Willis Reed get injured, but he limped onto the court for game 7 to inspire the Knicks to victory over the Lakers. He scored the game's first 2 baskets before sitting out the remainder of the game.

But to be completely honest with Yao out of the line-up it really fits Adelmans scheme more. When he was in Sacramento they were more of a run and gun type team and the line up of Landry, McGrady, Scola, Battier and Alston allows the run.
