    Default Rugby tips

My daughter thinks she wants to play rugby next year. Any tips for someone who has never played?

Be prepared for pain. There's a reason rugby players are known for drinking--it kills it.

Well, before I found this link, I was thinking Amazon women with
big muscles and missing teeth. After viewing the photo...not so
    much.

If you're talking about the daughter in the photo, she needs to be warned that it can break legs, bruises all over the body are the norm, and it hurts like heck for about three days afterwards no matter what you do to protect yourself.

Yes, it's the daughter in the photo. She powerlifted for four years and was going to continue at A&M, but she had a back injury and it still bothers her. For some odd reason, she thinks she will enjoy playing rugby. She also has an orange belt in Tae Kwon Do. For some reason she likes the brutal sports...lol.

    What to Bring!
-- shorts & a tee shirt (and sports bra of course)
    -- water
    -- a mouthguard*
    -- cleats *
(*Please come out and try us out--you can get a mouthguard & cleats later! Wear sneakers if you don't have cleats!)
