I was thinking that as well, but I double checked in the dictionary and it doesn't seem that's the word I'm looking for... more like a shortened name like "Jim" for "Jimmy"

alrighty, when looking for a VERY accurate word for my example, pseudonym comes very close... one definition of the words says:

"a fictitious name used when the person performs a particular social role "

that kinda words... yet another definition says:

"a fictitious name used by an author to conceal his or her identity; pen name. "

that's not what I'm looking for... plus I don't wanna name a song "Pseudonym" haha...
