Not surprised to see Waco lose, but Desoto most definitely. Looks like Cyrus Gray brought them back, but then they blew it on the ensuing kickoff and gave Bryan a short field to work with to get the game-winning TD. Just can't turn the ball over that many times on the road and hope to win.

Desoto still my pick to be holding a state championship trophy at the end of the season though. Good for them that they lose a rough one now instead of in December. This team is just too talented to not at least make a run to the state championship.

really surprised to see DeSoto go down ...

BRYAN--Bryan's Jaron Gentry intercpted Ryan Polite's pass with 39 seconds reming. DeSoto's sixth turnover allowed Bryan (1-2) to upset the ninth-ranked DeSoto (2-1) Friday, 30-27. DeSoto grabbed a 27-23 lead when Cyrus Gray ran 27 yards on a fake punt and scored on a 31-yard run a play later. Justin Hargrove's 67-yard kickoff return set up a nine-yard run by Bryan junior running back Monterell Washington, who scored the winning touchdown with 3:01 remaining.

I gotta stick with SLC to win 5a. Tough loss to #1 team in nation then had to come back with less than 5 days to prepare for another game on thursday. I think Rockwall was lucky Carroll didn't have time to prepare. Time playoffs roll around the defense will have more experience and should come together. They have 8 new starters out there, I believe. They'll roll through district and be clicking by playoffs.
