Cool! So how do they do it after the regular season? Do they still pick all stars, play a game, and then pick the "traveling" all stars from that?

Coaches pick 10 players and an alternate. They go to the regional tournament in Andrews, March 22-24. Top two teams go to Nationals.

Nationals is in the big city of Brownfield. The good thing is West Texas officials don't let it turn into a football game like it did in Fairfield last year. I will be coaching the 9-10 Juniors.

Where all do teams come from??? What went on in Fairfield last year? Players getting tackled on the court?

Used to be from all over the country. Now, most states have their own tournaments. Probably should be called a State Tourney now. Teams come from 4 to 6 regions depending on what division (by town) you are in. I had one boy hurt in the first game in Fairfield last year that didn't play again, carried 2 off the floor in the 2nd game. Shoving someone in the back or tripping would constitute a walk and lead blocking counted as a screen. We had one official in our all of our games who was between 65-70 with 2 inch orthopedic tennis shoes who couldn't even get up and down the court. It was not a good experience.

Good Luck Hops and let us know how you'll do tonight

Isn't it strange that after a bombing everyone blames the Crazy Azz bomber(s), but after a shooting the problem is the gun?
