    Default 24-3A baseball

read this prediction in the state wide magazine..

    wharton

    columbus

    west columbia

columbus, new to the district, has apparently had tons of success recently.

    anyone else have any predictions???

    also read this great advertisement.....

in a study of babies....placing toys in front of them......majority of kids will pick up the ball and bat.....

    hey...

    just repeating what i read........

Columbus lost some good pitching, and good hitters last year, the only pitcher from last year is Tromalie. The cardnals will not be the same as last year. They will fight for a play-off spot this year.

i think they went to the Regional Quarterfinals or something like that last year...maybe thats why they are picked so high...but i look forward for a good district race...season opener for us is Tuesday in Wharton against Waltrip...later on in the week we're going to the Houston Christian Tourny...

WC loses a lot, but they still have a good team.

This looks about right to me. Wharton is returning at least 6 starters and some other kids who saw a lot of playing time

Columbus lost 5 of its 7 best players

WC lost 8 starters I believe

But, other than Sweeny, who will challenge these 3?

Needville is a team to watch - return a bunch of kids from last year. Sweeny & WC both lost a bunch of starters & pitchers (Williams, Minks, Montoya, Vernor, Gupton, etc.). On paper, I would say Wharton, Columbus, & Needville are contenders with Sweeny, WC, & maybe Sealy trying to get into the mix. Stafford & Royal are well, Stafford & Royal in baseball.

Good luck to all, & that is why you play the games on the field not paper!

And the results of a scrimmage mean absolutely nothing. Everybody plays, bunch of pitchers, no intensity, etc. Let the real games begin!
