This should be a good concert. Glad to see it at the American Bank Center. Seems like most of the good concerts in the Spring are at Concrete Street (which I like very much) but it is still too cold and windy.

I remember they played the Coliseum when I was in HS and sold out in a couple of hours, which was something in the pre-Internet days.

1st time I saw ZZ Top was at Sun Valley in Victoria - think it was either 1972 or 73 - I was a Freshman - got grounded for about 10 years when my parents found out..... but it was WORTH IT = almost as much as the time I went to see Deep Purple at The Summitt in 1974

i saw them when they played in c.c. in the early 70's. it was billed as them playing alone. tickets were about 20 bucks which was a lot for a concert then. when the show started they had an opening act that sucked and then zz top only played for 45 minutes. it totally sucked. i tried to call c101 to bitch about it but couldn't get through all night. not a very good memory for a very good band.

Was the opening act CANNED HEAT? they played at Sun Valley with ZZ Top

if canned heat opened nobody would have bitched. the band was the brother of one of the zz top members. they were very bad. you could hear the chant ZZ TOP over their music.
