do I write in jiborish you two, answer my question please, DID THE ASTROS PUT UP AN OFFER TO KEEP HIM, or did they not have much interest in him after the last two years?
Stand-by for blockbuster trade to get a #2 starter.

the astros have shown they will do what it takes to get some athletes in the program that SHOULD produce well.

not so fast...I know that the Yankees have a tendency to pile up on players, but let's look at what they've got for their starting rotation next year:
Chen Mein-Wang
Randy Johnson
Mike Mussina
Andy Pettitte
Carl Pavano
Kei Igawa (who they payed 27 million just to negotiate with)
I know that Pavano might not be in the mix, but even without him, the Yankees are already set with five starters. Signing Clemens would mean they would HAVE to move one of the other guys, and I don't see Johnson, Wang, or Mussina going anywhere, and due to MLB rules, they wouldn't be able to trade Pettitte or Igawa until the middle of June at the earliest since they just signed with New York.
