    Default The Official 3ADL POTW week of 10-13-06

    It is okay not to be a homer. Here are the nominees by region:


    Region I:Josh Trant- Decatur

    17-162 rushing 2 TDs
    5-189 receiving 2 TDs
    1-80 Kick Off Return 1 TD

    421 all purpose yards and 5 TDs

    Region II: ZACH RAGSDALE-CRANDALL Sr.

    19 Carries- 201 yards 4 td's (16, 2, 1, 71 yard td's)
    2 Blocked Punts- He recovered both in the endzone for TD's
    6 Total TD's

    Also Kicked AND recovered an onside kick

    Region III: Joel Ansley QB Wharton
    164 rushing 4 TD's
    102 passing 1 TD's
    1 2 pt conversion

    Region IV: Ricky Beatty QB-Wimberley HS
    13-17 for 268yds and 3 TDs
    8 rushes for 75yds and 1 TD
    All done in 2 qtrs of playing time in Wimberleys 69-28 win.

    Its a tough call between the guy from Decatur and the guy from Crandall, both had unbelievable games.

    Trant will win this pole because of the fan base Decatur has on these boards... but my god that was a great game by the Crandall kid..

    they only have 5 or 6 "regulars" on here. I can't decide who I want to vote for. Consider that the Wimberley kid's numbers were done in a half...WOW!!! If had done the same thing in the 2nd half it would have been 26-34 (76%) for 536 yds and 6TD's and 16 carries for 150 yards (9.4 yds/carry) and 2 TDs. That would total up to 50 touches for 686 yards and 8 TD's. Even the 25 touches for 343 yards and 4 TD's is still pretty sick.
