I guess these are kindof interesting to look at, but who really cares? Most teams have been playing non disrtict games, and looking at players and schemes to get ready for district play, so these numbers are about as meaningless as you can possibly get. Also some teams have played tough as nails pre-district schedules, and some have played cake walk schedules that make them look way better than they actually are. Anyway, I guess their interesting enough to look at, if you keep them in perspective. One that stands out to me is Liberty Hill, who has played a brutal as hell schedule, and yet they made two of the three lists. Now thats pretty impressive.

this one kind of goes without saying, but celina is ranked no lower than 6th in all 3 polls...that is impressive. besides, we all know celina to be a powerhouse team and stomp mudholes in all who play them. but still, they are always worth pointing out

Celina is a prime example of what is wrong with these numbers. I know Celina is good, but come on now with that weak schedule.

ROBINSON W 42-14 – This is the only decent win on the schedule.
    ARGYLE LIBERTY CHRISTIAN W 28-14
    PLANO PRESTONWOOD CHRISTIAN W 28-7
    PRINCETON W 59-0
    FRISCO WAKELAND W 41-7
    PILOT POINT W 51-6
    AT VAN ALSTYNE
    BONHAM
    PROSPER
    AT WHITESBORO

Anything less than 10-0 would be shameful with a schedule like this. Sorry, but Celina will have to prove something in the playoffs before anyone outside of Celina is gonna be impressed. I'm not saying they wont do well in the playoffs, but c'mon now, give me a break with this schedule, and then bragging about how great you are.

Celina never has a real tough schedule, but 16-0 state titles are hard to argue with --- having a very tough non-district schedule isnt whats best for all teams, so don't knock 'em

Yeah and its not like Butch Ford can just pick up the phone, dial a number and find somebody to say yeah, we will play you and let you abuse us. Ill take Celina's "weak" schedule and line them up against anyone at playoff time.

While there are many teams taht do NOT want to play Celina I personally know a couple of coaches that called Ford asking for a game to be turned down. These coaches were head coaches of pretty good 3A and decent 4A teams

OK but that should not be a knock on Celina - he is obviously doing what he feels is best for his program ....................... and like I said above, hard to argue with state titles

I totally agree with Stang Red! Celina should put up good numbers but do they really mean anything. What would there numbers look like had they played the same schedule that Wimberely or Abilene Wylie has played. Even Sweetwater schedule is one of the toughest this year. The only numbers that count are the ones that get you out of district and give you a chance to play in the playoffs were it's win or go home, and it doesn't matter how you win, JUST WIN BABY!

Well Celina has a lot more of one thing than sweetwater wylie or wimberly have and what they have matters a lot more...state championships
