Great job dogs. You should be proud.

Dang, how in the hell did Bridge City shut this team out and then lose the following week to Hutto? I know the Cards lost their QB, but that doesn't explain the defensive breakdown.

When you can't move the ball, it puts your defense in a bad situation.

Congrats to the jasper boys!! They had an awesome season and deserve it.
Good luck to the remaining 3a teams still in the playoffs. State game is next week for 2a. Good luck to everyone!

I've heard that our quarterback had the flu the week of the BC game. No disrespect meant to BC's defense. But it might help explain why our offense was flat.

Things don't always go as planned.

That is true, I do believe I reported that before. Chris Bronson was also sick during the BC game.

With that said I'm not making excusses.

It's just difficult to envision a team being shut out that put 47 points up on Gilmer less than a year before.
OTOH, Gilmer's defense is not our strong suit. The vaunted "Black Flag" D just gave up 61 to Canton—and we still nearly won!

Well when you had Jordan Patton, Edrick Bronson, and Kendrick Gilder it's easy to see why.
