Default buckeyes take district title 55-6

against the pittsburg pirate team that dave cambells magazine picked to win district. unbeaten in district since october of 2000. buckeyes seem to be playing with a huge chip on their shoulder since the loss to daingerfield. we have an off week to get ready for the playoffs. congrats to the buckeyes. defense of the title BEGINS NOW.

for the second week in a row, gilmer used a grind it out, in your face , running game. scored 55 and i do not think (as best i can remember) threw any td passes. i do not remember the last time this happened. also scored via, fumble, int, blocked punt, and a punt return. hitting on all cylinders tonight.

speaking of a chip on their shoulder. gilmer outscored district opponents 209-26 this year. this rag tag bunch of juniors and sophs ain't to bad. if i count correctly there are only 3 senior starters.
