Thumbs up Region 4 ... Newton should pack a punch

Been checking thru Dave Campbells latest mag as well as scouting some teams in East Texas. Personally, if injuries don't affect a state run as they did to Newton last season, the Eagles should clean up Region 3. Their tentative offensive line and backfield looks awesome for '01. As far as defense, Coach Johnston still directs the defensive traffic as he did in Newton's state championship team in '98. Eyes will be on all players but especially Kenyon Scott, DL....Will Gulley, RB....Chris Stapp, LB, and Max Karpel, Center. I believe revenge will be driving the Eagles to defeat Bridge City in BC during district play.
