SS Finch leads off with a triple (hit 2 feet below the top of the wall). But Cooper fails to get the run home. 1 complete inning

Cooper's Bradley Madison gives up 5 walks in the inning. Carthage goes up 2-0 in the top of the 2nd.
Cooper's Finch comes in to pitch to get the last out of the inning.

Lubbock Cooper gets two singles in the bottom of the 2nd but leaves them stranded.

Carthage's Goodwin singles in Brewster who had led off the inning with a double. Goodwin thrown out at second trying to stretch his hit into a double for the third out.

I forget who it was, but early on in the season there was someone in East Texas who predicted a Carthage championship. It is beginning to look like a very accurate prediction.
Maybe if you didn't try to be so clever, you wouldn't end up looking so stupid.
