Default THSBCA/THSBM Baseball Polls -Not Bad!

I have watched the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association/Texas High School Baseball Magazine polls all season and wondered how knowledgeable they really were of all 3A schools. Here is their final top 10 poll (April 30) and how those teams are doing in the playoffs.

    3A
    1. Carthage 27-1 (still in)
    2. Yoakum 22-1 (still in)
    3. Falfurrias 19-1-2 (still in)
    4. Bridge City 25-4 (still in)
    5. Gladewater 25-3 (3rd round loss to Lindale)
    6. Lufkin Hudson 24-3-1 (still in)
    7. Lorena 21-4 (still in)
    8. Lubbock Cooper 26-4 (still in)
    9. La Vernia 20-2 (2nd round loss to Sweeny)
    10. Columbus 21-2 (still in)

    Pretty much on target.....so far!

I totally agree! Larry Bodin and Doug Recio are long-time followers of the BB sport and have a good knowledge of the teams.
We are at the point now that these good teams start to eliminate each other. There are always teams that are "under the radar" for various reasons; that but it all together in the playoffs.

It would be interesting to see the polls around the first 3 to 4 weeks of the season.

Good luck to Yoakum and Columbus, two great ball clubs.

I thought you didn't follow the sport? I think they may have some trouble this week, but am still for them.
