Default An oldie but great movie indeed!

I just now got to see the great Sergio Leone movie The Colossus of Rhodes starring Rory Calhoun! A great movie indeed about one of the seven wonders of the world. This was one of Servio's first movies as a credited director. He was later to made many more hits many of which he also wrote which includes the three great Clint Eastwood movies "For a Few Dollars Moore", "A Fistfull of Dollars", and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." Others include Once Upon a Time in the West with Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson and Once Upon a Time in America with Robert DiNero. Unknown to many he was a second unit director (though not credited) in such moives as 1951's Quo Vadis and 1959's great movies Ben Hur with Charlton Heston and The Nun's Story with Audrey Hepburn.

The movie The Colossus of Rhodes is shown on TCM once in a while and is worth watching. It is awesome!

Go Sinton Pirates and Lady Pirates! I also like old movies like "Dawn at Socorro." I also like the Tour de France. I like the Pelican West Band located at South Padre Island, Texas. Phil is PhiI is Bill is the compassion police. He is also the Sinton Matador. Some call him the Sinton Prophet. {Also Captain Obvious. } BEWARE OF THE HOWLING BEAR! He's going for the Corner - he's got it! Roy Orbison rules.
