A State Representative was killed in a one vehicle accident near La Grange early this morning. 40 year old Joe Moreno of Houston, a State Representative, was the driver of a 2004 Ford F250 pick up truck traveling on Hwy. 71, near the Fayette Power Plant, when he lost control of his vehicle, left the highway and flipped over. Mr. Moreno was pronounced dead on the scene by Justice of the Peace, Terry Ross. There were two other passengers in the vehicle, identified as State Rep. Rafell Anchia of Dallas, who was injured, but not seriously and Monica Pinon of Austin, who sustained serious injuries. The accident occurred at 2:00 this morning and was investigated by Trooper Steve Moore.
