It's not how he said it, it's what he said. What's getting him into trouble is suggesting that there is a conspiracy against Yao and the Rockets and that a ref as told him of said conspiracy. That's what's getting him into trouble.

i heard Yao volunteered to pay the fine. he was told he couldnt so the owner of Gallery Furniture volunteered. he said if the league doesnt allow it, he will invite van gundy to appear in one of his stores and pay him $100,000 dollars for the apperarence. that has to tick stern off.
