they are starting ezequiel astascio today on the mound. they decided to call him up to pitch against the pirates, apparently his 0-3 record with a 4.30 ERA in five starts is good for the 25-year-old right-hander to make the jump.......come on phil garnder

Maybe they are hoping he can swing the bat seeing how the Astro's hitters are finding this a difficult chore .

Hey, they've actually scored 27 runs the last 3 games vs. Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, and Josh Fogg. Maybe they're turning it around.
