Navasota's Mock had a great day in the girl's division. She won 4 gold medals and helped their relay team to a second place finish. She was one of the Houston Chronicle's athletes of the week.

Don't know anything about Donovan King but was disappointed that when he came in third in shot he won't stay around and stand on the platform with the other winners, seem to be a bad sport...

Leslie Starnes will be competing at state for the 3rd year in a row. This year as a junior in the pole vault competition. I think her only competition will be the girl from Gonzales...

Going to be much fun to see her and Perrytons' Janell Applehans. Applehans took 100, 200, LJ & 4 X 400 Relay golds in Region I.

Donovan King is one of the most respectful young men that I know. I don't know why he did what he did, but it isn't because he is a bad sport. Knowing, Donovan, I'm sure he was just very disappointed in himself.

Didn't he get some kind of role model award or something?
