In the pole vault Raymondville's Tommy Wolfe and Yoakum’s Broderic Mathis tied with 14-9 but Tommy did it in fewer tries and recieved the gold...

Shot put: 1, Dominique Whitehead, West Oso, 54-7; 2, Leroy Meador, Llano (distance not listed)
Long jump: 1, Tommy Wolfe, Raymondville, 22-5.75; 2, Alfred Woods, Luling, 21-4.75
High jump: 1, Noel Garcia, Lyford, 6-4; 2, Erik Diaz, Carrizo Springs, 6-4
Sorry, kepdawg, but I couldn't find results for the discus or triple jump.

I heard that the meet was run just about "half-assed" ? ?

also heard they made the coaches pick up the athletes awards in an envelope at the end of the meet? ? ?
and the team championship trophy was not awarded to the champions (Cuero-boys) (West Columbia-girls) until 30 minutes after the meet was over and nobody was in the stands.
