The two women's tennis teams meet tonight for a point at 6 P.M. at Penic-Allison Tennis Complex in Austin. If you are in Austin and want to see some good tennis you should go watch it.
Also tonight the Lady Horns play a softball game with Texas A&M -Corpus Christi Lady Islanders. The Lady Islanders are good this year and should give the Lady Horns trouble so you may want to consider that game if you can't make the tennis match.

State Farm Lone Star Showdown tonight between Horns and Aggies continues tonight!
Go Sinton Pirates and Lady Pirates! I also like old movies like "Dawn at Socorro." I also like the Tour de France. I like the Pelican West Band located at South Padre Island, Texas. The results are not all in but Texas has cinched the match with a 4 to 0 lead (there are 7 available points). This means Texas gets the point. I will elaborate more tomorrow when all the results are in but Texas has won this point.

The match is almost over. Texas has cinched it and leads 5 to 1. Texas won Singles 1, 4, 5, and 6 plus the doubles giving them the five points. The Lady Aggies won Singles 2. Singles 3 is not decided yet.
Therefore Texas gets the point for the State Farm Lone Star Showdown and has cinched a tie for the Lone Star Cup with 9.5 points while Texas A&M has 3 points. Texas A&M needs to sweep the last 6.5 points to tie for the cup but even then it would be retained by Texas since UT would have won it last year. Any point or fraction of a point will give Texas the win.

The Aggies did win the last completed Singles game but Texas still wins the match 5 to 2. Of course we at 3A downlow knew that last night before it was official announced in the papers or television just showing that once again we have outscooped everyone not that I am one to toot our own horn of course.
