Alright everyone. I have class in 30 minutes and I need to know how many feet are in a mile, and also how many meters are in a mile. Can anyone help me????

5280 feet in a mile right?
and isnt it like 1600 meters give or take like a few

1 lap around the track = 400 meters
4 laps = 1600 meters and 1 mile
1 mile = 5280 feet

My calculations had 1609.35 meters in a mile.

Since there are 3 ft in a yard 5280 ft divided by 3 =1760 yds
Then since there are 36 inches in one yard and one meter has 39.37 inches you multiply 1760 by 36 and divide by the 39.36 and that gives you 1609.35 meters in a miles. Technically probably the 1600 meters would be close enough - maybe.
