Default Google now offers satelite images

Google now offers satelite images to any address in the united states google satelite images (similar to the terraserver website before they started charging for the service)
it doesnt zoom on my house very well, but it gets close enough. dont forget to click on the "satelite" link on the right hand side of the page, otherwise it will be just a map website.

the big name cities like Las Vegas and New York, etc. have some amazingly clear and close up images.

I like this better than terraserver. No big watermark in the middle of the picture. Except these our way older than some of the other websites pictures.

and i had to scale down the photo. with as clear as it is, in a few years we will be able to zoom onto a person. cool technology.

I used terraserver last week and wasn't charged... And I've never seen a watermark.

google seems to have better resolution and navigation and closer zoom. but youre right on charging a fee. they seem to have discontinued it. they do sale the images for a price though

I think these images are from a few years ago because I did my house and the TCU baseball stadium isn't up the road yet and I know it's been there a couple of years. A girl in our office did her house and it was a pile of dirt and she built her house three years ago. It is cool though.

i think all these satelite image servers have slightly dated photos. im not sure why, if its security reasons, cost or lack of technology. my guess is the cost.

hhmmm maybe downlow convention in vegas?

Isn't it strange that after a bombing everyone blames the Crazy Azz bomber(s), but after a shooting the problem is the gun?
