Default New 200m Dash School Record!

Today in Sinton Brandon James, the guy we talked about last week, ran a 21.04 in the 200m dash breaking Cuero's old record set by Luke Hargrove in 1988. You Cuero and Sinton guys that were at the meet, what are your opinions on what you saw today?

According to texastrack.coms top 10 this is the fastest time in the state of Texas this year for any H.S. classification even after you add the .24 for the 21.04 being hand timed .

This kid I truly believe could go to state in the 100, 200, 400(if he wanted ) his anchor legs for the 4x1600 are phenominal . I'm still trying to get over that time 21.04 WOW

Congrat's to you too 84 on your showing in the Discus and to all the Gobblers and Lady Gobblers .Way to represent

    What was Gobbler84's distance?

Isn't it strange that after a bombing everyone blames the Crazy Azz bomber(s), but after a shooting the problem is the gun?

It must have been awesome. I didn't get to go but I didn't notice much wind in Sinton yesterday so they probably can't say it was wind aided like they sometimes do.

    Thank you PPHSfan and Keith7!

Gobbler Grad - are you taking off work Thurs to work at the Track Meet?

Two coaches had him hand timed at 20.87 and one at 20.89. 21.04 was the official time. I assume it is hand timed since very few facilities have FAT.

He will not run at Gobbler Relays this week. Mix up in a grade transfer from Houston has him ineligible this week. Look for him next week at Calhoun and then at District.

Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.

That's true. It will be awhile before Texas see another Blanton.

Blanton might have set his records as a Sophmore and junior but don't let us forget that Brandon is only a junior. With coach Reeve as his coach look for him to do nothin but get faster and faster throughout the summer and football season. Brandon must be Blanton's God son or something cause they both are/were amazing!
