Sorry regions I and IV but Van (region II) and Diboll (regionIV) will be playing for the gold. Van is a very talented "Hoosieresque" style of team with all 5 guys being able to handle the ball and pass with flair and precision. I saw them pull away from Gilmer after 3 quarters of back and forth lead changes. Gilmer was loaded with a front line of 6'8 6'5 and 6'4 but those little Vandals stoled the show by beating the vaunted press of the athletic buckeyes several times without the ball even touching the floor. It was a beautiful thing to behold even for a Gilmer fan. If you love the purest form of basketball then Van is a must see.
As far as Diboll is concerned, well what else can you say but Jermicheal Finley(UT's next great tight end and all everything athlete). You better believe that Rick Barnes will be in attendance to watch this phenominal athlete perform in the mold of a PJ Tucker, could be the first in a long time of 2 sport athletes at UT. Kind a think of it, I cant recall one.. He is 6'5 and 240 and when he runs the court people we be amazed at his grace and athleticism. It should be a fun finals but i just don't see it any other way.
