KERRVILLE, Texas -- Schreiner ended its NCAA-record losing streak at 83 games Saturday night, beating Sul Ross State 75-69.
Rachel Estrada led the Division III Mountaineers (1-24) with 18 points in their first victory since Jan. 17, 2002, when they beat Sul Ross 65-62.
"We just believed in ourselves, and we never gave up," senior Virginia Grijalba said.
Rockford (Ill.), which lost 70 straight women's games from 1995-98, holds the second-longest losing streak among women's teams. The men's record is held by Olivet, Mich. (1959-61), and Southwest Minnesota State (1971-73), both with 46 consecutive losses.

That says a lot about the Sul Ross womens program huh, Schriener has won 2 times in their last 85 games both times against Sul Ross.
Way to go Sul Ross Women, you have just made it to my top 10 all time worst feats in sport list.
