Go Sinton Pirates and Lady Pirates! I also like old movies like "Dawn at Socorro." I also like the Tour de France. I like the Pelican West Band located at South Padre Island, Texas. In our area, 1A Port Aransas has always done well in basketball. I don't have any of their statistics. They are a school without a football program, but have always excelled in tennis and basketball.

Over near Weatherford you've got to throw in Brock and Peaster.
They've been 1A before but are now both 2A and are "basketball schools", meaning no football program. The Brock girls team is so good year in and year out they beat up on 4A and 5A teams.
Article this year in the Star-Telegram touted the Brock Lady Eagles as they beat Duncanville (5A) in a tournament.

Gainesville has been to the state tournament 4 of the last 5 years.. I think they are a long shot to make it this year, but you never know
