At 10:30pm Board was still meeting and had not made a decision or released the names of the six finalists!

It's official.....Bootsie Larsen will start tomorrow. He previously coached in Aransas Pass and has since been with Rockport (Aransas County) ISD.

Good Morning from APISD
*As you may have heard by now, the Trustees hired former APISD coach
P.J. "Bootsie" Larsen to return to APISD as Athletic Director and Head
Football Coach. Coach Larsen was part of the coaching staff that took
the Panthers to the State Semi Finals.
*In other business last night, the Trustees heard several reports
including the AEIS and the campus responses to it, and the status of the
crossing guards for elementary schools. Dr. Montoya reported that an
agreement had been reached with former city manager Don Taylor, but the
new city administration had some issues that needed to be resolved .
*The trustees approved overnight trips for the criminal justice
competition, HOSA competition, One Act Play and a the 8th grade Lewis
and Clark trip in June.
*An update was given on the procedure for students wishing to transfer
into APISD from another district. More careful attention will be given
to attendance and discipline of those students making aplication and to
those students who are approved. Transfers will be revoked for
unacceptable attendance and or discipline.
*Congratulations Lady Panthers on a big win last night.

That's what I heard. I personally don't know a whole lot about him, but have heard very good things.

Bootsie was an assisstant in Rockport this year! He is also the former head coach at Corpus Christi Ray HS.
