Default Any of you heard of BTK?

We have a serial killer running around here in Wichita called BTK (Bind, Torture, Kill). All of the killings he's been connected with happened in the 70's and 80's. For about a year now, he's been playing cat and mouse with police here by communicating with them through a TV station by leaving clues, sending postcards, and returning victims drivers licenses.

It's kind of freaky knowing he's still roaming around out there. However, he is believed to be in his early to mid 60's now and police also think his health is in question. So, he may not be the threat he once was.

They should not release any of this info they are getting on this freak. He is probably not far from death and is now trying to get famous off of what he did in his earlier life. He want's them to catch him, that's why he has picked up after all these years. Making these post cards news is exactly what this freak wants... publicity. I'd be willing to bet he is terminally ill.

The police asks them to not publish some parts of the communications. And so far, they have complied. You're right, it's what he wants. And the more they "communicate", the better the chances of them catching him. I don't mind him getting what he "wants" as long as it doesn't hurt anyone and it helps the police to catch him.

I agree, they will have to give him a little publicity or the clues would probably stop.

I hadn't heard of him until 2003 when one of our local stations did a story about him. Ever since then, he's been doing all this communicating back and forth.

There are a couple of ladies here that are spooked about him...and swear he is near. I really doubt he would be here...we are 200 miles from water and 2 miles from He!! And besides that, most his business has been around Wichita, right?
