Emmitt was a great football player and team player. He will be in the Hall of Fame when 1st eligible.
Emmitt stayed too long, as many great ones do.

I must respectfully disagree. True, I would have loved to see him retire with the Pokes. He still had plenty of gas in the tank. He had a very respectable year this year and is now leaving in relatively good health. He was an awesome back and a great role model for todays athletes and I wish we had more like him in the league.Originally posted by setex

A good runner till the end, just a little less speed and not on a very good team didn't help. He is the best all time rusher and we will miss seeing him play!
