Default Sammy Sosa traded to Baltimore...

ESPN.com and MLB.com are both reporting that the Cubs have dealt Sammy Sosa to the Orioles in exchange for Jerry Hairston and two minor leaguers.

How much did Baltimore have to pay him and how many years did he agree to play for them?

The way it looked the Cubs were just looking for a way to get rid of him. One decent player and 2 minor leaguers. I don't know if there were cash involved.

Why is Chicago wanting to get rid of Sosa?

Actually, the Cubs will be paying most of Sosa's salary, and Sammy waived his no-trade clause and voided his 2006 contract. So essentially, it's a one year deal for Baltimore at a very low price, and then he's going to be a free agent after this season instead of 2006.

Because he is a terrible defender and he is disruption in the clubhouse.

He will probably be playing for the Yankees in 2006.
