ESPN.com and MLB.com are both reporting that the Cubs have dealt Sammy Sosa to the Orioles in exchange for Jerry Hairston and two minor leaguers.

here's a picture of Sammy in an O's hat:
wow...it will be weird to see the cubbies w/o him...oh well im thinkin this helps the astros in some way...go 'stros!
How much did Baltimore have to pay him and how many years did he agree to play for them?
The way it looked the Cubs were just looking for a way to get rid of him. One decent player and 2 minor leaguers. I don't know if there were cash involved.
Why is Chicago wanting to get rid of Sosa?
this is good for me because baltimore is my bosses favorite baseball team, so he will be in a better mood because of it for a few days thanks
Actually, the Cubs will be paying most of Sosa's salary, and Sammy waived his no-trade clause and voided his 2006 contract. So essentially, it's a one year deal for Baltimore at a very low price, and then he's going to be a free agent after this season instead of 2006.Originally posted by Leopards, class of 75

Because he is a terrible defender and he is disruption in the clubhouse.Originally posted by NSUTrumpet08
