OK this sounds like a story I just gotta hear

Isn't it strange that after a bombing everyone blames the Crazy Azz bomber(s), but after a shooting the problem is the gun?

    Nothing special really!

When I have to use a number like, "I have told you a thousand times"....for some reason, I always say "I have told you eleventy-three times"!

I used that in the chat the other night and LHPMOM got a kick out of it!

Well, you got to be careful and not use the wrong number, LHPMom---umpteen is a bigger number than eleventy-three.

Of course! In the situation at work today, umpteen would've been an exaggeration.

BTW, Bull, my favorite "cost" would be "a nickel ninety-five".

lol, LHPMom. And how about some of those good old expressions for other things, like:

    tee-niney for "very small"
    beaucoup for a "bunch"
    gill- flirted for "messed up"

and the younger generation has their own set of expressions for degrees of things...
